Well, what happened next, at around six months of age -- Sue decided I needed some "fetching up" and arranged for me to be sent off to school!! Wow - this was really scary! John had worked with Miss Pennie and she loved it and was a very good pupil. Well, we "Poos" (anyway me) have some different ideas about this type of thing. After all -- this was going to be 3 weeks in isolation with John at Hide-A-Way Kennels! Gosh, as Marvin's sister told him -- the kids' hardly out of diapers and now you're sending him off to boot camp! Sue showed no mercy and off I went. John said I was too smart for my own good! He did get some points across, but, much I decided I would just do at my own pace and when I wanted to! After all, a guy has to do what he wants to do, when he's ready to do it! I just heard Sue on the phone the other day arranging for me to revisit Hide-A-Way Kennels while they take off for Myrtle Beach again this November, 2002 and have John work again with me!! Oh my! I hope he doesn't hold a grudge! Anyway, I'm just going to leave you with some of my most appealing pictures for now and continue my escapades at a later date. I think you'll agree that's there's no turning back! I'm here to stay (great job "Curly"!)
That's it for now. I'm happy and so are Marv and Sue. The objection was achieved -- I am definitely not a Miss Pennie, but, Mr. Willie! Miss Pennie will never be forgotten, and neither will I. If you'd like to see any more of me just let Sue know and she'll keep pumping pictures and info into my Web Pages -- she has to do that -- I haven't mastered the "puter" as yet! As of September 29, 2002 I weigh 18 pounds -- and that should be about it -- unless I just "pig out"! Guess what I heard my Mom say last night: Sue said to Marvin that she thought she was "cracking up" because the thought crossed her mind that a 2nd poo might be a nice thing! Marvin said "what are you - nuts?!" And than he asked, would it be a girl? Hum! You just never know around here. Maybe a sister wouldn't be a bad thing?! Take care and hope you've enjoyed your visit to my pages. Sincerely, Mr. Willie PS: Sue and Marvin wouldn't trade me for anything! HeHeHe (thanks Curly!) If you have a curiosity about "poos" visit Pam's Site for informative links. Sue's Comments: Don't know how serious I was with my thought of a 2nd "poo"! No doubt that they are one of the most delightful creatures I have ever had the pleasure to meet -- but -- they take stamina! On the Cock-A-Poo Listserve that I read/monitor there are folks who actually have 4 poo's! I'd love to be a mouse in those homes! 10/01/02 -- Latest Mr. Willie antic! This AM I got up at 5:30AM. Mr. Willie, as usual, needed a visit outside for bodily functions. When he came back in he joined Marvin back in bed. OK, so far. Well, I was to get Marvin up by 7 AM for a golfing engagement & when I went in to do so there they both were looking so peaceful, except, there was a man's hankie with the outline left hanging out of Mr. Willie's mouth! The whole inside of the hankerchief gone and no visible sign of the remnants anywhere! I looked everywhere and can't find the rest of the hankie. Now it's evening and all appears to be well, but, we're waiting for the "end" result - assuming he ate it!
